NSTP

1/01/2012 to 17/03/2012 - seems like quite a long time, doesn’t it? Two months and three weeks – it could turn out to be absolute hell for me, or it could just end up being one of the most memorable times of my life.

I was in company Delta, also known as Scorpene Hornet. Hailmi n Chetot (I never discovered her real name) were the company’s leaders. Besides that my company also got Zainul as our platoon leader, and our sergeants were Goh, Wong and Firdaus.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, seat yourselves comfortably. My PLKN story is about to begin...

To-mor-row,to-mor-row, and to-mor-row...
That was how time seemed to pass. The three months crept by at such a slow pace that I could get so much done in  ten minutes’ time, like changing from my "baju kelas" into "full loreng", and even undergo "PT 10, 100 kiraan satu sebanyak 10 kali", which was a form of punishment there.

Time was going by very slowly, what with all the daily nagging and screaming. Oh, and the routines. Punctuality was greatly emphasized here and it was very hard for us to stick to the schedules.

Now, moving on to my company. I was on cloud nine as it was announced that Delta had won as the best company. At the time I could see every member of Delta smiling all the way up to their ears. Even though we had lost in KKJ but our spirit never faded, instead we rose from the ground! In the nasyid competition we proved that we were the best by winning the first rank. We strengthened our position by also coming out top in navigation, cooking, PPSB and "wira jaya".

All our sacrifices were worth the medals we soon received. A thunderous round of applause for our company teachers - Cikgu Farid, Cikgu Dollah, Cikgu Fendi and Cikgu Aliah. Without you we are nothing. And for Cikgu Fendi, congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

And myself? I learnt many new things through the classes held there. CB, BK, KN, and the rest taught me so many things that I would otherwise have never learnt at this age. There I also got a weird nickname, "Meta" – don’t ask me about it, please.
Well, this post is coming to an end. Delta, “Terus Tempur” was our motto and do not give up in our life. Do not cry over split milk, smile instead. Brace yourselves for life and find the strength hidden in your soul.

Comrades, you are all awesome. Do not waste your potential.
